Ilmenite
Ilmenite is Egypt's most abundant black sand mineral, constituting 31–44% of the total heavy mineral concentrate along the Mediterranean coast. With a TiO₂ content of 46.61% — verified by Foshan Ceramics Research Institute in 2024 — Egyptian ilmenite is a premium-grade titanium feedstock.
Ilmenite is the primary commercial mineral in Egypt's black sand, and a core DEXPRO export. Shipped in bulk or jumbo bags, independently inspected by Control Union before loading.
