AMASIS Quartz · Egyptian high-purity quartz
From Egypt’s Red Sea mountains to the world
White vein quartz from Egypt, washed, colour-sorted on Sortex optical sorters and graded from 1.2 mm grit to flour below 45 µm. Independently tested across all four grades: SiO₂ 99.6–99.9 %, iron (Fe₂O₃) 100–106 ppm and whiteness 92.9–93.9 %.

AMASIS and the Naucratis Route
Amasis II (Ahmose II) ruled Egypt from 570 to 526 BC. He made Naucratis, a port on the Canopic branch of the Nile in the western Delta, Egypt’s gateway to Mediterranean trade. Foreign merchants traded there, and Egyptian goods left from there for the Mediterranean world.
The Naucratis Route, twenty-six centuries later: AMASIS quartz leaves Egypt through the Pharaoh’s gateways of today on the same coast, Alexandria, Damietta and Port Said, and crosses the Mediterranean to industry worldwide.
Measured, not claimed
Ranges for all four grades: Control Union certificate (September 2023) and production lots up to 99.9 % SiO₂; selected lots reach whiteness 94.9 %. Lot reports on request. Independent Control Union certificate figures are on the test results page.
The four grades

| Grade | Size | Main uses | HS code |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz grit | 0.7–1.2 mm | Engineered stone, resin and epoxy flooring, decorative aggregate | 2506.10 |
| Quartz sand | 0.3–0.7 mm | Glass batch, engineered stone, filtration media | 2506.10 |
| Quartz sand | 0.1–0.3 mm | Glass batch, ceramics, foundry, engineered stone fines | 2506.10 |
| Quartz flour | < 45 µm | High-purity filler: coatings, polymers, adhesives, ceramics and frits | 2506.10 |
Other cuts are produced to order. Send your sieve curve. HS codes for guidance; your customs broker confirms.
Why buyers choose AMASIS
Independent proof
Results come from Control Union sampling inside the containers and a European ceramic producer’s own XRF, not from our own claims.
Ultra-low iron
Fe₂O₃ about 100 ppm keeps glass clear and fillers white. Iron is the impurity that matters most.
Washed and Sortex-sorted
Clay and fines are washed out; Sortex optical colour sorters reject stained grains before packing.
Mediterranean shipping
Loaded at Alexandria, Damietta or Port Said and shipped west to Europe and the USA, with no Red Sea transit.
