Test results
Every grade, independently tested
Two independent tests on AMASIS quartz: an inspection company sampling all four grades inside the containers, and a European ceramic producer testing samples in its own laboratory.

Source: Control Union, Certificate of Quality Ore100, issued 20.09.2023. Samples drawn by Control Union inside the containers on 12–13.09.2023 from a lot of 249,125 kg (10 × 20′ containers, 20 FIBC each) and analysed at an independent laboratory.
| Grade | Lot in this shipment |
|---|---|
| < 45 µm | 25 MT |
| 0.1–0.3 mm | 125 MT |
| 0.3–0.7 mm | 75 MT |
| 0.7–1.2 mm | 25 MT |
Earlier single-grade Control Union reports: Ore079 (< 45 µm, August 2023), Ore094 (0.1–0.3 mm) and Ore095 (0.3–0.7 mm, September 2023). Copies on request.
2 · European frit producer, XRF (February 2024)
The producer compared AMASIS <45 µm with the quartz it uses in its own frits and glazes.
| Oxide | AMASIS <45 µm | Quartz in current use |
|---|---|---|
| SiO2 | > 99.5 % (99.7) | 99.35 % |
| Al2O3 | 0.18 % | 0.37 % |
| Fe2O3 | < 0.1 % | 0.1 % |
| TiO2, CaO, K2O, Na2O, MgO | < 0.1 % each | n/a |
| Volatiles (110–1000 °C) | 0.1 % | 0.1 % |
Source: raw-material study by a European ceramic frit and glaze producer, report AX3240B rev. 01, 27.02.2024. Samples of <45 µm, 0.1–0.3 mm, 0.3–0.7 mm and 0.7–1.2 mm received 15.02.2024; the <45 µm grade analysed by X-ray fluorescence (XRF).
The producer’s conclusion: the chemical analysis is excellent and the quality is far above the quartz it normally uses.
Note on Al₂O₃: the two laboratories report different values (Control Union 27–42 ppm on all four grades; the producer’s XRF 0.18 % on the < 45 µm grade). Both are shown as reported. Buyers receive the current lot analysis with every quotation.
Every lot, every shipment
- Lab report for each lot: SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, other oxides, whiteness and grain size.
- Samples from the production lot before order, on request.
- Independent pre-shipment inspection by Control Union, SGS or TÜV Rheinland on request.
- Extended analysis on request through an independent laboratory: Cr₂O₃, ZrO₂, heavy-mineral content and full sieve curve.
